All concerts begin at 7 p.m.
The Summer Concert Series is held at the performance pavilion of the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, located at 9750 Egret Blvd. The schedule is released in early spring, and features a variety of music genres and styles - everything from jazz and big band to country music and rock n roll!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of free entertainment. Anoka County Parks is a partner for this event and waives the park entrance fee for the evening. Concessions available for purchase. There will be no shuttling available from the visitor center to the concert pavilion this year, but a drop-off/pick-up area is available near the pavilion.
The Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Coon Rapids Arts Commission with support from the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation.

Meet the Bands!
The Castaways
The Castaways are a nationally-known Minnesota based
rock ‘n roll band. The musicians are Jim Donna on keyboards and vocals, Bob Donna on guitar and vocals, Rick Snider on drums and vocals and Ralph Hintz on bass and vocals. The band plays best hits from rock ‘n roll artists and inspires audience participation.
Sawyer's Dream
Inspired by the vocal harmonies of bands such as the Mamas & the Papas, ABBA and Fleetwood Mac, Minneapolis based Sawyer’s Dream is an established original 70s vibe band, uniquely cross-blending Americana, pop, rock and soul. Featuring powerhouse female lead vocals and intricate four-part harmonies, their music is engaging, upbeat and earthy, offering the listener a modern take on classic pop-rock.
Rockie Lynne
Renowned singer-songwriter-entertainer Rockie Lynne is best known for his crowd-pleasing live show and his chops as songwriter and lead guitarist, which ultimately led to a recording contract with Universal Records. Rockie and his band return to Coon Rapids with their blend of jam-band rock with a southern flair. Don't miss this performance filled with great music and stellar musicianship.
Raquel & the Wildflowers
Raquel & the Wildflowers is an up-and-coming nationally touring energetic powerhouse that blends the sounds of traditional country music with a rock ‘n roll drive. Raquel de Souza is the lead singer who formed Raquel & the Wildflowers with bandmates Cat Lines on fiddle and Luis Cruz on Guitar.
Erik Christenson and His Support Group
Erik is best known for his emphatic and dynamic singing, along with his skillful and percussive guitar playing. He plays both solo and accompanied with various musicians, frequently with his long-time musical partner, guitar virtuoso Justy “Diving Duck” Collins. Erik combines blues, jazz and country elements into fresh and sometimes surprising arrangements of classic American music.
Dirty Shorts Band
This New Orleans style brass band plays everything from jazz to dixie, funk to blues, rock ‘n roll to gospel to swing and back again! They bring charts from Armstrong, Domino, Tousaint, Dr. John, Preservation Hall and more.
Chmielewski Funtime Band
The Chmielewski Fun Time Band is a family polka band that has thrived through six generations and over 100 years. They have won countless awards through their long history including Florian’s induction into the international Polka Hall of Fame. The band consists of Florian, his daughter Patty and her son Nick along with occasional other musician family members.
Ecuador Manta
This Andean band originating from a village in Atahualpa, Ecuador has been playing together since 1992! Now based in St. Paul, the group has spent over two decades together developing their unique style. Ecuador Manta combines distinct traditional South American rhythms to create a contemporary Latin sound.
The Revolution 5
The Revolution 5 is a Beatles Tribute band that strives to capture the sound and energy of a Beatles performance with chart-topping hits and a handful of deeper tracks. The band consists of Aaron Barthel on guitar, keys, harp and vocals, Kevin Jennissen on guitar, keys and vocals, Terry Vermillion on drums and vocals, Jake Hagedorn on guitar and vocals and John Tetrault on bass and vocals.
