A regional destination in the north metro is putting out a call for help saying the pandemic could force it to close its doors.
Fogerty Arena in Blaine was constructed back in the early 1980s. The nonprofit facility is home to Blaine and Spring Lake Park Youth Hockey Associations and High School Hockey Programs. In 2013, the facility expanded to include the sport of curling as well as a full-service restaurant.
Well known athletes who once played at the arena helped put out a call for help in the form of a video.
In an average year, about three million visitors pass through the doors at Fogerty Arena creating a significant economic impact on the north metro.
