Research and public engagement is underway related to building a full-access interchange for Trunk Highway (TH) 610 at East River Road. Public engagement opportunities started in August with an open house. A public survey was also presented to the community via the City website, social media, postcard mailing in the area and signage.
More than 150 people responded to the survey, with the majority expressing support for the project. Many responses centered around how a full interchange should have always been there. Other respondents did have concerns about traffic in the area or impacts to surrounding neighbors. This public input will be considered as the preliminary design work continues.
Funding does not yet exist to build the interchange. As this project evolves, stay tuned for more information on the City website and read more here.
