The feeding of ducks or other animals is not allowed in city parks. Hunting is also not allowed.

Coon Rapids owns and operates Coon Rapids Ice Center at 11000 Crooked Lake Boulevard contact them by telephone at 763-951-7222. The City also owns a sheet of ice at Schwan’s Super Rink in Blaine, you can reach them at 763-785-3687.

How do I sign up for adult softball?
Coon Rapids offers men’s, women’s, and co-rec adult softball leagues. Visit the Recreation page of the web site for more information.

Are there regional parks?
Anoka County operates Bunker Hills Regional Park which is located in Coon Rapids and Andover. It offers archery, camping, horseback riding, bicycling, and Bunker Beach Water Park, contact the Recreation Department at 763-757-3920.
Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park is a 610 acre park located along the Mississippi River. It offers hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, a boat launch, and a walkway over the river and can be contacted at 763-757-4700.

Are visitors allowed to smoke in city parks?
Coon Rapids parks are smoke free.

What other general rules should I know about Coon Rapids parks?
Glass bottles are not allowed in any city parks. Golfing is also not permitted except at Bunker Hills Golf Club, located within Bunker Hills Regional Park, located at 12800 Bunker Prairie Road. Coon Rapids parks are tobacco free and no feeding of ducks or other wildlife is allowed.
